Healing Trauma

The healing process only truly begins when you have cultivated the capacity to observe how and where the residual pain of trauma shows up in your life.

You can recognize it when the pain of an experience is excessive, and out of proportion to the actual situation.

It feels like an overreaction.

This is because the pain of previous experiences has become stuck in your body, unhealed, an open wound that can resurface and demand recognition.

You may experience dramatic breakups, intense and misdirected anger during arguments, or feel anxious about tasks and responsibilities.

These are all signs of not being fully present in the body because there are unhealed wounds that make being fully present uncomfortable, painful, and even excruciating.

Some people will just learn to live with it and accept it as the reality of their existence.

But it doesn’t have to be that way.

You can heal the emotional and energetic wounds caused by trauma, so you can remain fully present and in your body in any situation, which is key to leading a life filled with experiences of fullness, joy, and love.

So how do we heal from trauma?

The answer is to recognize, acknowledge, accept, and finally feel the uncomfortable sensations in your body.

Many experiences will allow old wounds to resurface, to be felt again. This can be faced as an opportunity to allow it to move through you and ultimately pass from you.

In allowing it to be felt, in accepting it, you are giving your physical and energetic being permission to allow the healing to begin.
